L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

 This mascara is definitely worth the $8.  Gives your eyes volume and also separates your lashes while building them up for a dramatic lash look.

I love this mascara and love how it makes my lashes look.

It is great for the price and is better than a lot of my expensive mascaras.

Just received my May Birchbox in the mail and I absolutely Love Stila's sparkle waterproof eyeliner in Rock Candy.

This eyeliner is very easy to use perfect for achieving the cat eye look and best of all it is waterproof.

Love all the colors that this eyeliner comes in.

My favorite colors are Rock Candy which is a brown sparkle, Royal which is a pretty purple sparkle, Bora Bora which is a blue and of course I love the sparkle black which is called Sequins.

I am loving this foundation. Great for all skin types, but especially mine which is more on the oily side.  Once I opened the cap and put the foundation on my skin I immediately fell in love with it. This foundation feels so amazing on the skin. It is so light and fluffy doesn't even feel like you are wearing anything.  It also gives your skin that airbrushed look.

Not only does it feel good on your skin, it also is good for your skin.

Today I received Mally's Evercolor Porless Face Defender in the mail.  I had saw Mally on QVC talking about her products and when I saw this I had to get it.

WOW! Is all I have to say.  I am so Happy I purchased this product it is a life saver.

Being Italian/Puerto Rican my skin is so oily and I have tried every product out there from blotting papers, to mattifying primers I mean everything I could find and try and nothing has worked like this.

This is the first time I was happy with any product that claims to mattifie your skin and stop shine.  It makes your skin feel so silky smooth and it helps make your skin look poreless.

Tips for the Bride to be!!!

This time of year is one of my favorites!!

Bridal Season!!

Congratulations to all the beautiful brides to be.

Here are some tips for you when booking your trial and finding the perfect fit for you! 

1. Book your trial a good 6-8 months prior to your wedding date:  This is so you know that the company or make-up artist you decide to go with is not booked up and unavailable for your special day.

2. Bring lots of magazine cut-outs of looks that you love to your wedding trial: That way the hair stylist and make-up artist know what your style is.

You will save time, and get the results you want.

3. Always come to the trials with no make-up on and with hair that is dry and has NO PRODUCT in it. This ensures that the makeup artist has a clean slate to work with, and the hair stylist will be able to manipulate the hair to do whatever style you like.

4. In the trial, ask to see 2-3 different hair styles. That way, once you choose the final look you would like to go with, you know its right for you.

5. Do not deviate from the ‘final trial look’ on your wedding day. I have seen this time and time again. Where brides all of the sudden, hours before walking down the isle decide to add or remove eyelashes, put in extensions, make the eyes smokey instead of more natural, have a red lip instead of nude, etc.

With time always being limited, you are simply setting yourself up for a heart attack. If you decide before the wedding that you would like to change your look, do yourself a favor and set up another trial.

6. Make sure that you can purchase a lipstick/lip gloss from the makeup artist on your wedding day to touch up with.  Purchase something in advance, perhaps right after your trial, so that you know you have the right shade for your big day.

I always give my bride to be a gift bag with their lip stick and liner as a token of my

appreciation. 

Also, you may want to pack a mini face powder and/or oil blotting sheets.

I also offer on-site touch-ups as well…a good option for those of you who don’t want to have to worry about touching up your make up.

7. Purchase all of the current bridal magazines and search for makeup and hair looks that you love. Put them all up on a cork board and then stand back, look at it for a few days and notice the looks that you gravitate most too. That is probably the look for you.

8. Do not choose to save $$ when it comes to your hair and makeup. This sounds harsh but I am telling you this to save your wedding pictures!

There have been so many women that decided to save money on their look by going with an artist who charges $50 or less to do hair and makeup and then were disappointed with the results.
This is NOT a professional rate and most likely you are getting someone who has just gotten out of school and who does not do this full-time as a serious professional.

Do yourself a favor and save money on other things…your shoes, decor, jewelry etc. but when it comes to the way you look and feel on your wedding day, you will NEVER regret investing in professionals who know how to make you look great in person AND in pictures. It is money well spent.

9. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Understand that the way you look on your wedding day is up to YOU. As much as you love your friends and family members, do not let them dictate your look for you. YOU WILL REGRET IT!
You simply will never please everyone so you need to learn how to say no, and how to confidently go in the direction you love.
